Here's all you need to do on Sundays:
- Before the service, make sure the Prayers of the People sheet is on the table in the narthex so people can add their prayers to it.
- Just before the service begins (for the 8:30 service) or during the hymn between the Gospel and the sermon (at 10:30), retrieve the Prayers of the People sheet and bring it with you to your seat.
- Immediately following the Creed, read the Prayers of the People as they're written on the sheet.
- Speak slowly and distinctly.
- Be sure to pause between paragraphs (at 8:30) or where pauses are indicated (at 10:30).
- Do the best you can with names that have been added; remember that God knows who we're praying for, even if we totally mispronounce their name.
- After the service, please leave the sheet on Jenny's desk so she can add names to her personal prayer list.
- Go home knowing you've played a vital role in making worship at Incarnation special for so many people.
